2006 – 2007

2006 – 2007 Produced a number of significant achievements for the club. The season kick-off with our 3rd Annual Festival which once again was delivered without a hitch. Our academy age 2000’s again produced two small sided teams.
Our now annual European tour saw our 93s, 94s & 95s travel to Belgium to take part in the Hasselt Cup. A great time was had by all. On the pitch our 94s & 95s faired best with our 95s only losing one in six games, our 94s excelled themsleves, with a significantly weakened side battled their way to the final where they lost out to the host club, a tremendous effort never the less. Off the pitch our Center Parcs accomidation and a vist to a local theme park proved great entertainment. On the domestic front our 11-a-side teams contiuned to assert themselves, our 93s (U14’s) reached back to back cup finals but unfortunitely could not repeat last season success. Our successful 89/88 side (U19s) contiuned their great run by reaching another cup final only to lose-out to Steins Thistle, this disappointement was more than made up for however when the team went on to lift their first Championship winning the Central FA League. The club again continued to provided a source of talent for the professional game with two players form our 97s stepping up to join Hearts & Hibs.
The club reached a major milestone in this year when the club was awarded the SFA Quality Mark Standard award, this award signified the progress the club has made in recent years in terms of policy development, planning, administration & coach education.
