2007 – 2008

Season 2007/08 saw a number of significant developments as the club continued to cement its self as the towns major community club. Our festival as usual kicked off the season, unfortunately however for the first time monsoon conditions were experienced and day 2 had to be cancelled.
Our academy once more produced another new section who for the first time sampled the SFA recommended 4s model.
The club built on the SFA Quality Mark Standard award when it was awarded the Development level the first club in the Central Region to achieve this.
Our 94s once again ventured into Europe, where they played in the Tulip Cup in Amsterdam, our 97s experienced their first trip, when they travelled south of the border to Preston taking in the Blackburn V Man Utd, Premiership game as part of the trip.
The weather that was experienced early in the season continued most of the year with a number of breaks due to unplayable pitches, our 11-a-side teams found to difficult to deal with this with only the U19s forming any meaningful challenge. Our soccer 7s sections continued to flourish with teams at all age groups.
The two most significant developments in year were the creation of a Girls Academy for Girls P2-P6 and completing the male pathway Cumbernauld Thistle Amateurs agreed to join the club as the Colts adult arm and would become Colts Amateurs next season.  qm.jpg
