2009 – 2010
Season 2009/10 reaffirmed the clubs position as the towns leading club with success on and off the pitch. The season kicked-off with the clubs 7th Annual Soccer Festival, this challenged the clubs resolve when day one had to be switched to Broadwood due to the terrible weather, despite this the festival was once again a great success, an added bonus saw our 97’s win their event.
Another successful European tour for our 95’s, 96’s and 97’s who took part in the Geusselt Cup, Holland, with our 97’s losing-out in the final on penalties. Our competitive teams delivered some silverware as our U21’s won the Regional Cup and were runners-up in the League and League Cup, Our U14’s won the Bobby Brass Cup and our U15’s were unlucky to lose out in the final of the Central Safety Shield final.
Off the pitch the club was given a major boost when the Scottish Football Partnership donated a fantastic mini-bus as recognition of the clubs standing in the game as the Regions first SFA Quality Mark “Community Level” club.
